None of these ingredients are very unique so you may already have most of them in your refrigerator or pantry.

Even in springtime, you can enjoy the flavors of fall with this Apple Cinnamon Muffins recipe. Use your muffin base and mix in an additional 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg. Next, add one cup of peeled, chopped apples and 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts. Also, be sure to add a sprinkle of oats on the top before baking. Your kitchen will smell amazing and you’ll enjoy a variety of delicious fall flavors in one bite.

A Little Zest

If you like a hint of citrus, try these Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins. Although, don’t include cinnamon in this batch. You’ll also want to use granulated sugar instead of brown sugar. To begin, mix two tablespoons of poppy seeds into your dry ingredients. Use the zest from two medium lemons and juice one medium lemon into the batter. Add a sprinkle of coarse sugar before baking. Finally, add a lemon glaze to the top of your cooled muffins and enjoy.
